COVID-19 Policy

Introduction Marian Manor Healthcare Center is dedicated to ensuring the health and safety of our residents, staff, and visitors. We are closely monitoring the situation and following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and local health authorities to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Preventative Measures

Enhanced Cleaning Protocols We have implemented rigorous cleaning and disinfecting protocols throughout our facility. High-touch surfaces are cleaned frequently, and all common areas are disinfected regularly.

Health Screenings All residents, staff, and visitors undergo daily health screenings, including temperature checks and monitoring for COVID-19 symptoms. Any individual exhibiting symptoms is immediately isolated and tested.

Visitor Restrictions To protect our community, we have established strict visitor guidelines. Visits are limited and must be scheduled in advance. All visitors are required to wear masks, sanitize their hands upon entry, and maintain social distancing.

Vaccination We strongly encourage vaccination for all eligible residents, staff, and visitors. Our facility provides access to COVID-19 vaccines and boosters to ensure the highest level of protection.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Our staff is equipped with appropriate PPE, including masks, gloves, and face shields, to reduce the risk of transmission. PPE is worn at all times while providing care.

Isolation and Quarantine Residents who test positive for COVID-19 or exhibit symptoms are isolated immediately. We have designated areas for isolation and quarantine to prevent the spread of the virus within our facility.

Communication We keep residents and their families informed with regular updates on our COVID-19 policies and any changes in the situation. Transparent communication is a priority to ensure everyone is aware of the measures in place and any potential risks.

Continued Care Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, we remain committed to providing the highest quality of care. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that all residents receive the medical attention, emotional support, and social interaction they need.

Community Champions Video Launch
On May 5, 2021, as a part of CMS’ ongoing COVID response efforts to support the long term care community, we debuted our first social media videos highlighting staff, also referred to as Community Champions, who moved from being initially uncertain about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine to accepting the vaccine– and encouraging their peers to do the same.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, staff in nursing homes have been providing ongoing care to our nation’s most vulnerable.  This social media campaign is intended to help increase vaccine acceptance amongst long-term care staff.
